FIDE World Amateur Championships 2023 announced

 

FIDE and the Oman Chess Committee invite all FIDE Member Federations and eligible players with FIDE rating under 2300 to participate in the FIDE World Amateur Chess Championships  (Open and Women sections). The Championships will take place in Muscat, Oman, from November 01-11, 2023.

The Championships are open for players registered by their national federation. FIDE member federations have the right to send as many players as they wish.

There will be separate championships in the rating categories Under 2300, Under 2000 and Under 1700. There shall be separate Women's Championship(s) if there are at least ten players from at least two continents in each category.

Championships will be 9-round Swiss tournaments with the control of 90 minutes for the whole game + 30-second increment for every move played, starting from the first move. 

All players, accompanying persons and delegation members have to register before the deadline of September 1, 2023.

FIDE와 오만 체스 위원회는 모든 FIDE 회원 연맹과 2300 미만의 FIDE 등급을 가진 자격 있는 선수들을 FIDE 세계 아마추어 체스 선수권 대회(오픈 및 여자 부문)에 초대합니다. 그 선수권 대회는 2023년 11월 1일부터 11일까지 오만의 무스카트에서 열릴 것입니다.

선수권 대회는 소속 국가 연맹에서 등록한 선수들이 참가할 수 있습니다. FIDE 회원 연맹은 원하는 만큼의 선수를 보낼 권리가 있습니다.

2300 이하, 2000 이하, 1700 이하 등급 부문에서 별도의 선수권이 있습니다. 각 카테고리에 2개 이상의 대륙에서 온 선수가 10명 이상일 경우, 별도의 여자 선수권 대회가 개최됩니다.

선수권 대회는 9라운드 스위스 토너먼트로, 전체 경기 시간은 90분 첫 동작부터 시작하는 모든 동작마다 30초씩 증가합니다.

모든 선수, 동반자 및 대표단은 2023년 9월 1일까지 등록해야 합니다.
